Cleanfarms Inc. is seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Director to provide overall leadership and direction for the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors and working closely with the Executive Committee between board meetings. the Executive Director is responsible for implementing the Board’s strategic priorities, overseeing operations, ensuring financial and regulatory integrity, and representing the organization with key stakeholders.
This role is ideal for a seasoned executive with strong governance experience, operational leadership skills, environmental stewardship, and the ability to work effectively with a Board, industry partners, and diverse external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support senior management and staff to achieve organizational objectives.
- Implement the strategic direction, policies, and priorities established by the Board of Directors.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Board and management, supporting effective governance and informed decision-making.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and manage organizational risks, escalating material issues to the Board as appropriate.
- Represent Cleanfarms with industry members, government partners, service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships that support the organization’s mandate and programs.
- Act as a spokesperson for the organization, as appropriate and aligned with Board direction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, contracts, and agreements.
- Uphold high standards of ethics, transparency, and organizational integrity.
- Ensure organizational activities align with the mandate, bylaws, and policies approved by the Board.
Qualifications & Experience
- Senior executive leadership experience in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with a Board of Directors and supporting strong governance practices.
- Strong financial acumen, including understanding cost drivers, and supplier/contract agreements.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and deliver results.
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in environmental stewardship, Producer responsibility models (EPR) or regulated programs, agriculture, or not‑for‑profit organizations is an asset.
- Ideally, the successful candidate will be bilingual (French/English)
Working Conditions:
Flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered depending on the location of the successful candidate, with the expectation of regular availability during Eastern business hours. The Executive Director must be able to travel and attend in person meetings as needed to support staff, board meetings, stakeholder engagements, and key organizational events.

Digital and Media Relations Coordinator
Position: Full-time to fill existing vacancy
Location: Ontario or Eastern Canada, Remote or Hybrid depending on location

Cleanfarms/AgriRÉCUP is a Canadian not-for-profit organization offering programs that enable farmers to sustainably manage the waste products generated on farms, coast to coast. We are often referred to as the “blue box for agriculture.”
In English Canada, we are known as Cleanfarms; in Quebec, as AgriRÉCUP. Our communications team of four supports a staff of approximately 22 colleagues, providing bilingual (English and French), innovative, and cost-effective day-to-day communications as well as major campaigns. One of our primary objectives is to raise awareness of our programs, which allow farmers to recycle used agricultural plastics and other materials at Cleanfarms/AgriRÉCUP collection sites across Canada.

Position Description
Digital Communications and Media Relations Coordinator
This role requires expert-level proficiency in both English and French. We are seeking a trained communications professional with demonstrated experience in social media strategy and execution, website strategy and writing, performance measurement, and media relations.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Coordinator collaborates closely with communications and operations colleagues and is responsible for the following:
- Social Media (40%)
- Develop and oversee execution of annual and monthly social media strategies
- Lead creation of graphic, video, and written content
- Manage organic and paid content produced in-house
- Ensure dynamic, engaging, and interactive content across key platforms (primarily Facebook and LinkedIn), with growth of overall social media presence
- Web Strategy, Web Writing, and Performance Measurement (30%)
- Lead the web content enhancement initiative for Cleanfarms and AgriRÉCUP websites (2026), preparing for a full website refresh (2027)
- Ensure long-term consistency, freshness, and effectiveness of web content
- Work with the webmaster and internal teams on content strategy, visual presentation, analytics, and performance measurement
- Media Relations (30%)
- Develop and implement an annual media relations strategy
- Coordinate reactive and proactive media relations for Cleanfarms and AgriRÉCUP
- Manage relationships with online and traditional media (print, radio, etc.)
- Develop key corporate and program-level messages
- Build and maintain media contacts and pitch two to three original story ideas annually
Required Skills and Experience
We are seeking a trained, bilingual communications professional, ideally with experience in the Canadian agriculture and/or recycling sectors. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English and French
- A university degree or college diploma in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
- A minimum of five years of experience in a structured communications role (agency or in-house; remote or hybrid)
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both languages, with proven experience producing content for print, digital, social media, and media relations (samples required)
- Proficiency with communications tools and platforms, including AI-based tools, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Strong expertise in social media strategy and execution across Facebook/Instagram, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn; familiarity with additional platforms is an asset
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities using digital tools.
Working Conditions
- 37.5 hours per week; typically 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour unpaid lunch break, and occasional extended hours
- Primarily a desk-based role involving computer work, virtual meetings, and reading/writing/editing
- Collaborative work environment with a small, highly engaged team and strong environmental and social values
- Occasional travel within Canada for trade shows, collection sites, events, and meetings, including potential overnight stays
- Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation
- Home office equipment provided, or access to office space as required
Compensation
- Competitive salaried position in the range of $65,000 to $78,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Full-time, permanent role with a four-month probation period

Summer Position / Co‑op Internship
Environmental Programs Coordination Assistant
(Residual Materials Management)
- Organization: AgriRÉCUP / Cleanfarms
- Location: Greater Montreal Area and Centre‑du‑Québec
- Start Date: April 2026
- Duration: 12 weeks (summer position) | 16 weeks (co‑op internship)
- Schedule: 35 hours/week (Monday–Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday afternoons off when possible)
- Salary: $20 to $25/hour, depending on experience
Position Description
This field‑based position offers hands‑on experience in the environmental management of agricultural residual materials. The successful candidate will support recovery and recycling programs for agricultural plastics and packaging, working in collaboration with producers, retailers, and collection sites across Quebec.
Key Responsibilities
- Field data collection and analysis (material characterization, rinsing quality, volumes)
- Support for collection sites and program partners
- Outreach and awareness activities with agricultural producers
- Participation in events and representation activities
- Preparation of short reports and updating databases
Candidate Profile
- University studies in environmental studies, agriculture, science, business administration, or a related field
- Valid driver’s licence
- Fluency in French (English is a strong asset)
