The Covid-19 situation continues to evolve and our thoughts are with all those who are affected by this virus, especially those who are ill and front line workers across Canada.
As we work through this with our 1,600 plus collection partners, we will update this page with the latest information.
The health and safety of our stakeholders is our #1 priority
A reminder to practice social distancing and adjust collection procedures as necessary to ensure employees, customers, drivers and ratepayers are protected, and follow all health and safety practices recommended by health authorities.
Collection sites
If anything changes with your operations, please let us know. If you anticipate any changes to services, please let us know so we can inform stakeholders.

We’ll also email you and post specific updates for collectors in the online dealer system.
Farmers and collection sites have existing protocols in place to ensure the health, safety and environment standards are met. Additional best management practices for Cleanfarms collection sites during COVID-19 will be available soon.
Farmers: 2020 collection start-up
Most Cleanfarms collections begin in mid-April. To better support collection sites, who may be making adjustments on a daily basis to ensure the health and safety of their employees, we ask that you call ahead first to ensure your local site is open and accepting materials.
In Quebec, collections of small and bulk containers and seed and pesticide bags will be delayed until late June or July. We are presently working with collection sites, contractors and others to finalize these arrangements and relay messages to farmers.
For transportation contractors: Each collection site is handling this crisis differently – call ahead before servicing a site
There may be changes to on-site protocol (at retail or at municipal locations) as a result of social distancing requirements. Please call ahead before dispatching to ensure the location will allow you to pick up containers.
Cleanfarms team is fully operational
Our team is working remotely and we are fully accessible to all those who play a role in our programs. Please feel free to contact any member of the team.
The Cleanfarms team is also thinking about how we can make a difference in our communities during this difficult time. We welcome your thoughts as well, please email info@cleanfarms.ca.
