Cleanfarms members support good stewardship, in and away from the field
Cleanfarms works with its members to design recycling/recovery program systems that improve the sustainability of farming operations and provide value for industry partners and farmers across Canada.
The driving force for Cleanfarms is convenient and accessible end of life stewardship programs that help keep Canadian farms and communities clean and also re-incorporate plastics/packaging in the economy.
At the same time, provincial governments are changing the way they approach recycling and waste management. More and more, governments expect companies that supply products and packaging to take responsibility for products at end of life. This translates into provincial regulatory obligations on suppliers that mandate the development, operation and financing of recycling/recovery programs.
Membership in Cleanfarms allows companies to meet these regulatory requirements.
