Cleanfarms ag collection/recycling bags are now available to growers and retailers in Alberta and Manitoba for the pesticide & fertilizer jug recycling program.
Why use collection bags?
- Bags provide growers with an easy way to collect and transport empty pesticide and fertilizer jugs from the farm to their local collection site
- These bags encourage 100% recycling of pesticide and fertilizer containers
- They are available through ag retailers and growers free of charge
What else do I need to know?
- Collection bags are available at ag retail locations throughout Canada. Retailers across the rest of Canada can order bags through Cleanfarms’ online pickup request system and growers can return them to their local ag retail collection site
- Ag recycling/collection bags are also used for the seed, pesticide, & inoculant bag collection pilot programs in Western Canada
- Promotion & education tools are also available (e.g., statement stuffers, etc.)

The process for receiving/reordering rolls of collection bags varies based on province and ag retail type:
- Manitoba retailers: order rolls through Cleanfarms online pickup request system

- Each bag holds 45 jugs
- Each roll of has 40 bags
- Bags are 40″x 34″ 70″ in size and 3.75 mil thick
- Made with at least 25% recycled content from household recycling programs
