Grain bags are an increasingly useful and popular storage option. Farmers have shown that recycling grain bags is their preferred way to manage these items at the end of their life. It helps keep their yards and communities clean.
Throughout 2018, grain bag recycling will expand across Saskatchewan to increase accessibility and provide consistent support to municipalities. This expansion is, in part, due to recent regulatory changes required under The Agricultural Packaging Product Waste Stewardship Regulations.
Businesses that sell or import grain bags into Saskatchewan, also known as first sellers, are now required to take ownership of this environmental initiative and have the opportunity to be sustainability leaders.
The information in these sections is intended to guide first sellers through these obligations. Please call us at 877-622-4460 with any questions and to discuss further.
